State of New Mexico - Twelfth Judicial District Court
Alamogordo, NM

AWARD AMOUNT:

$157,139*

PURPOSE: The State of New Mexico Twelfth Judicial Court is a post-adjudication juvenile drug court, which includes a minimum of 9 months of treatment. The drug court's primary objectives are to increase sobriety, reduce delinquency, and increase school performance. Grant funds will be used to expand counseling capacity, institute an in-home counselor, and enhance parenting support resources. This enhancement grant will allow an additional 12 clients per year to be served, provide after hours family counseling, and provide additional family treatment services. With the assistance of an advisory committee, the court has been able to identify service gaps and establish community collaborations with school systems, local organizations, Goodwill Industries, family preservation initiatives, Workforce Development, and the United Way.
