Supporting Drug Courts
OJP’s Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), in partnership with the National Association of Drug Court Professionals, recently launched the online National Drug Court Resource Center. OJP also provides training and technical assistance, research and evaluations, and a juvenile drug court program.
AAG Laurie Robinson spoke at the National Association of Drug Court Professionals’ 16th Annual Conference on June 3, 2010, and highlighted many of OJP’s efforts. She also applauded Attorney General Eric Holder’s strong advocacy for drug courts while introducing his keynote address.
AG Holder thanked the more than 3,300 professionals at the conference for their efforts to improve the justice system. "You have proven that redemption and rehabilitation are possible," he said. "And you’ve shown that our network of drug courts has the power to strengthen, not only families and communities, but our entire justice system."
