Pursuit Incident Database

NIJ and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) developed a national database of pursuit incidents. The database allows law enforcement agencies to compare their situations with others. Participation is strictly voluntary. Agencies exercise full discretion and confidentiality regarding the information contained in the database.

Only law enforcement agencies can access the database. For more information about obtaining access for your agency, e-mail Al Arena at the IACP.

For more information about the pursuit incident database, see the International Association of Chiefs of Police's publication, Managing Police Pursuits: Findings from IACP's Police Pursuit Database (pdf, 12 pages) Exit Notice.
