Law enforcement and corrections officers often use different labels for the same less-lethal device. Learn proper less-lethal terminology and gain a better understanding of less-lethal devices, including their use and tactics for their deployment in the field.

NIJ seeks volunteers to take the 60-hour course and provide feedback. We will sponsor training costs.
