Please respond to the following questions
additional 8x11 sheets may be attached if necessary

1. DESCRIBE THE IMPACT THAT VOCA FUNDS HAVE HAD ON YOUR PROGRAM'S ABILITY TO MEET THE NEEDS OF CRIME
   VICTIMS.
With the mounting costs of medical, mental health and funeral services, it is more important than ever to be able to assist victims in Kansas with the best level of service we are able to provide.

2. HOW DO YOU MEASURE YOUR PROGRAM'S EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS IN REDUCING THE FINANCIAL IMPACT
OF CRIME ON VICTIMS? WHAT ARE THE RESULTS?
Our goal is to reach as many victims in the state as possible. We have applications and other literature available in both English and Spanish, some literature is also available online through the Attorney General?s website.

We understand that the time it takes to process a claim is crucial, so we try to make the application process as easy as possible. Our claims are processed on a monthly basis, and although we inform claimants that claim processing averages about 3 month, we are able to process most claims in 2 months or less.

3. DID YOUR STATE USE VOCA ADMINSTRATIVE FUNDS?   Yes
IF YOUR STATE USED VOCA ADMINSTRATIVE FUNDS, PLEASE DESCRIBE THE IMPACT THESE FUNDS HAVE HAD ON YOUR
STATE'S ABILITY TO PROVIDE COMPENSATION OR IMPROVE VICTIM SERVICES.
Two staff positions, one full-time Restitution Coordinator, and a part-time staff position, have been December 13, 2007 supported by VOCA funds
