Please respond to the following questions
additional 8x11 sheets may be attached if necessary
1. DESCRIBE THE IMPACT THAT VOCA FUNDS HAVE HAD ON YOUR PROGRAM'S ABILITY TO MEET THE NEEDS OF CRIME VICTIMS. Section III Other Vehicular Crimes included 2 domestic violence claims. ====== The Crime Victim Compensation Program has been able to provide additional financial assistance to victims of crime which would not have been available otherwise, as well as increase limits and add additional benefit categories. The effect of the VOCA grant has a significant impact on the amount awarded and number of victims assisted.

2. HOW DO YOU MEASURE YOUR PROGRAM'S EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS IN REDUCING THE FINANCIAL IMPACTH OF CRIME ON VICTIMS? WHAT ARE THE RESULTS? Processing time is measured using a median of all paid claims. Processing time is calculated manually and we use actual figures (we do not estimate). Average processing time = 18 weeks; average payout = $3,572.00; claims received during fiscal year= 772.

3. DID YOUR STATE USE VOCA ADMINSTRATIVE FUNDS? YES IF YOUR STATE USED VOCA ADMINSTRATIVE FUNDS, PLEASE DESCRIBE THE IMPACT THESE FUNDS HAVE HAD ON YOUR STATE'S ABILITY TO PROVIDE COMPENSATION OR IMPROVE VICTIM SERVICES. Administrative funds have enabled the program to meet the demands of increased program activities by obtaining adequate office space and purchasing updated computer equipment. Funds were also used to pay our annual dues to the National Association of Crime Victim Compensation Boards and travel expenses to participate in activities of the Association. Funds were used also to co-sponsor a victim assistance conference and a statewide victim service provider conference.
