Please respond to the following questions additional 8x11 sheets may be attached if necessary 1. DESCRIBE THE IMPACT THAT VOCA FUNDS HAVE HAD ON YOUR PROGRAM'S ABILITY TO MEET THE NEEDS OF CRIME VICTIMS. Section II - Age Range 34 unknown. Section IV Other: 12 property replacement, 13 bedding replacement, clothing replacement, housekeeping, secure crime scene. ===== The 1985-87 State of Wisconsin Biennial budget process enacted legislation to expand certain benefits available to crime victims and to create new benefits that would be available. This legislation was a direct result of the VOCA crime victim funds.2. HOW DO YOU MEASURE YOUR PROGRAM'S EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS IN REDUCING THE FINANCIAL IMPACTH OF CRIME ON VICTIMS? WHAT ARE THE RESULTS? We have a computerized program that continues to be updated to meet our needs. Applications are entered into the system within 2-3 days of receiving them in the office. Acknowledgement letters and requests for more information is sent at that time. The application is sent to the claims specialist within 2 days of input into the computer system. This is a considerable increase in productivity since last year. Decisions regarding eligibility are dependent on the time it takes for police reports to arrive in the office and that varies depending on the specific locale. The average time between input of the information into the computer and the determination remains to be something that the system needs to work out. However, it is estimated that it is about 4 weeks between receiving the application in the office and the determination for eligibility. This also is an increase in productivity since last year.
3. DID YOUR STATE USE VOCA ADMINSTRATIVE FUNDS? NO IF YOUR STATE USED VOCA ADMINSTRATIVE FUNDS, PLEASE DESCRIBE THE IMPACT THESE FUNDS HAVE HAD ON YOUR STATE'S ABILITY TO PROVIDE COMPENSATION OR IMPROVE VICTIM SERVICES. No.
