Reasons for Simulation * The simulation will demonstrate the NOVAprotocol. * It allows participants to experience a similar perspective as victims. * It provides an opportunity for participant caregivers to think about and review their own reactions to traumatic events. * It helps to develop trust crisis response team members. II. Rules for Simulation Session * There is to be no notetaking by participants. * There will be no questions about the process of the simulation during the simulation itself. * The general guidelines used in NOVA's protocols for conducting a group crisis intervention will be observed. * Participants are encouraged to actively participate in the simulation.
