The Opioid Affected Youth Initiative webinar series will address the challenges associated with opioid and other drug misuse among children, youth and families. These sessions will focus on understanding the specific needs of vulnerable communities, while building an evidence-based, holistic, and targeted approach to integrating strategies and solutions to enhance family supports and provide a framework for data-informed decision-making that promotes collaborative efforts among key stakeholders.
The webinars are further intended to educate participants on how to address addiction, reduce overdose deaths and harms associated with drug misuse, promote prevention and recovery, as well as customize responses to vulnerable impacted communities.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion that can result in trauma-informed practices to promote cultural-centered responses to reduce stigma related to drug misuse will be incorporated throughout the series.
