This webinar will present findings from an unprecedented study conducted by the CSG Justice Center on the impact of juvenile justice system supervision on youth's school attendance that raises important questions and concerns about the traditional roles and responsibilities that juvenile justice systems nationwide have taken on in promoting school engagement and success.

The webinar will highlight key findings from the study and identify important implications for juvenile justice and school policy and practice as well as potential alternative approaches.

Study findings will be discussed within the broader context of improving the "front end" of the juvenile justice system (including arrest and diversion) as jurisdictions across the country wrestle with the appropriate role of law enforcement and the justice system in schools and in the lives of young people more generally.
