The Public Safety Officers’ Benefits (PSOB) Program provides death and education benefits to survivors of fallen law enforcement officers, firefighters, and other first responders. The National Officer Safety Initiative (NOSI) develops innovative programs that increase officer safety based on needs, emerging trends, and concerns related to threats to officers’ safety. Strategies for Policing Innovation (SPI) Program assists law enforcement agencies in identifying and defining their most pressing crime problems and organizational changes. The National Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (SAKI) assists law enforcement and prosecutors in addressing the backlog of unsubmitted sexual assault kits.
