Abstract
In the first section, investigation of crime, there are additions to the chapters covering the exclusionary sanction, detentions of persons and related searches, warrantless searches, interrogations and confessions, undercover investigations, and grand jury investigative functions. The second section, prosecution and adjudication, has supplemental material added to its chapters on the initial appearance and detention, the preliminary examination and the grand jury, right to a speedy trial, competency to stand trial, discovery and disclosure, right to an impartial trial, double jeopardy, adjudication of guilt or innocence by trial, sentencing, and appeal and collateral attack.
