The intent of this self-help book on drug smuggling, written from the perspective of an insider in the business for 16 years, is to provide a realistic idea of the potential problems and hazards to those considering drug smuggling as an occupation and to remind enforcers in the U.S. government that it is not possible to prevent illegal substances from entering and being distributed in the United States.
          Abstract
This guide to drug smuggling outlines the process involved, from the need to possess an "outlaw attitude" to the current involvement of the military in U.S. efforts to stop the drug smuggler. The guide also identifies ways to deal with the money involved and the potential for serious involvement with the justice system, including the risks of jail time and of becoming a fugitive. An appendix lists the lowest and the highest penalties possible for specific types and weights of contraband.
