This gang manual was developed by the National Law Enforcement Institute to assist gang investigations and prosecutions and to identify specific gang organizations and tactics.
Abstract
The manual covers gang search warrants, black street language, Hispanic communication guidelines, and gang graffiti. Particular attention is also paid to midwest gangs and to black, Hispanic, Vietnamese, Indochinese, and Filipino gangs. In addition, the manual covers Jamaican organized crime, Colombian drug dealers, motorcycle gangs, gangs in Miami and Los Angeles, vehicle hidden compartments, and conducting prison interviews. Detailed descriptions of selected gangs are provided that include information on gang makeup, colors, emblems, and alliances.
