This volume explains the history and technical features of the G3 rifle and related firearms, the probable direction that Heckler and Koch's designs will take, and the reasons these assault weapons will remain popular during the next century.
Abstract
These firearms are well-designed and tough and are often used by anti-terrorist groups as well as the FBI; Drug Enforcement Administration; Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms; and SWAT teams. Some of the little-known versions of the rifle have proven to be better than guns specified by military purchases. The text also reviews customized versions of the .308, .223, and 9mm rifles and submachine guns and semiautomatic versions as well as other chamberings of the G3 spinoffs. Aftermarket accessories are also discussed.
