Abstract

This issue's Message from the Administrator underscores OJJDP's commitment to pursue racial equity and fairness in the juvenile justice system as the Office celebrates Black History Month. The top story features Administrator Liz Ryan's comments at the National Mentoring Summit. Additional stories spotlight an OJJDP-funded mentoring program that serves youth in detention facilities and one serving youth with mental illness; National AMBER Alert Awareness Day; and a new report on youth victims, offending by youth, and what happens when youth enter the juvenile justice system. The Tribal Connections section highlights the 2022 State and Tribal Relations Assistance Division Conference and the National Tribal Youth Conference, which were held concurrently; and orientation and listening sessions for new OJJDP grantees who received funding under the Coordinated Tribal Assistance Solicitation.
