The primary objective of this book is to provide information necessary to design, select, purchase, install, and maintain effective security systems. Abstract
Each chapter consists of several sections: introduction, principles of operation, types and selection of equipment, uses, application, limitations, and advantages. Following a chapter outlining the stages of system design, selection, and installation, the book discusses system composition, focusing on sensor classification, control panel, and central equipment. The two subsequent chapters discuss external and internal sensors, followed by descriptions of closed-circuit television systems, locking systems for doors and windows, access control systems, and security lighting systems. 5 appendixes
