Some program information demonstrates and highlights achievements to date for the Texas Teenage Crime Commission (TTCC).
Abstract
This report outlines the success of the Summer Youth Employment and Training Program and the services of the teen court and special services components. The TTCC has provided summer jobs to 177 gang members, housing development residents, and other poverty-stricken youth. The Success is Yours program offers participants individual and group counseling, job training, pre-employment skill training, special activities, and field trips as well as opportunities to create skits and organize a style show. Teen Court offers several services: mediation, arbitration, follow-up (weekly educational and behavior reports), trial by jury of peers, and community service activities.
