          Abstract
After describing the mindset of a professional counter-terrorist, the author discusses training counter-terrorist squads and emphasizes that this is an entirely different occupation than law enforcement. Subsequent chapters highlight the inadequacies of airport security systems and outline 10 precautions for travelers to take before boarding and 9 recommendations to follow if on a hijacked aircraft. Also discussed are linkages between terrorist groups, the role of the media, and terrorist weaponry including boobytrapped bombs, deadly toxins, and nuclear weapons. The author reveals why he feels America is now the number one terrorist target, why appeasement and retaliation against terrorists do not work, and what does work. In this context, the book explains how embassies and business installations can be protected against car bombings, Canada's tough and effective stance against terrorists, and ways to deal with terrorist training camps in the mid-East.
