This resource collection provides pamphlets, newsletters, articles and handbooks, and bibliographies on wife abuse and victim services for battered women.
Abstract
A handbook examines the causes and effects on all family members of wife abuse, suggests alternatives to abusive situations, and details legal and service resources for abused women. Three sample issues of 'Response to Family Violence and Sexual Assault' contain articles on such topics as marital rape, State domestic violence legislation, shelter programs, and European responses to the problem. Another handbook discusses civil and criminal remedies available to victims of wife abuse. Also included are a fact sheet on wife abuse, a 10-item and a 25-item annotated bibliography, and a list of publications available from the Center for Women Policy Studies.
