NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF JUSTICE HOSTS TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE

 

ALBUQUERQUE, NM? ? The U. S. Department of Justice?s National Institute of Justice (NIJ) is hosting the 4th annual technology conference for public safety and first responder communities and allied professionals beginning Monday, May 6 through Wednesday, May 8th in Albuquerque.? Attendees include? federal, state and local government representatives, representatives from law enforcement agencies, fire departments, emergency management, medical professionals, and other first responders.?

The conference will feature a daylong symposium on critical incident management, and include participation by more than 100 exhibitors from other federal agencies and private sector groups. Breakout session topics include cybercrime, transportation security, crime scene preservation and forensics for first responders, and training technologies.? Symposiums are planned on organizational and coordination issues in crisis management, emergency management requirements, and survey of technologies - existing and emerging.
