OFFICE OF JUSTICE PROGRAMS' 2009 ANNUAL REPORT HIGHLIGHTS IMPACT
OF FUNDED PROGRAMS

WASHINGTON ?The Department of Justice's Office of Justice Programs (OJP) today announced the availability of its 2009 Annual Report, Forward Momentum.

The Report includes examples of OJP's grantee projects, organized in chapters highlighting outreach, collaboration, innovation, evidence and stewardship. Each chapter also features accomplishments made using American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds, and an appendix includes award totals.

In 2009, OJP awarded more than 8,200 grants totaling $5.6 billion. Sections of the report showcase the work of individual criminal and juvenile justice practitioners and their impact on the safety of communities throughout the country.
