ABOUT VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

WASHINGTON - Joye Frost, Acting Director, Office for Victims of Crime, will deliver remarks and meet with students, faculty, and police cadets at East Central University on Tuesday, MARCH 23, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. CDT. This event is part of a nationwide college campus tour by top department officials to raise awareness of violence against women, commemorating the 15th anniversary of the Violence Against Women Act. Throughout the month of March, nine members of the Department of Justice leadership will visit 11 universities around the nation, including public, private and faith-based institutions and a Historically Black College and University (HBCU).
