New Online Tool For Sexual Assault Service Providers?A new online Sexual Assault Response Team Toolkit, funded by the Office for Victims of Crime and developed by the National Sexual Assault Resource Center, combines a variety of resources and materials designed to assist victim service providers and allied professionals in addressing the emotional and physical trauma of sexual assault. www.ovc.gov/sartkit

Six Cities to Present Plans for Preventing Youth Violence?Members of the media are invited to attend the Youth Violence Summit on April 4-5, in Washington, D.C. Teams from Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Memphis, Tenn., Salinas, Calif., and San Jose, Calif., will present their plans to prevent youth violence in their cities. The Summit is part of the National Forum on Youth Violence launched by President Obama in October 2010. The goal of the Forum is to reduce violence, improve opportunities for youth, and encourage innovation at both local and federal levels. In addition to Attorney General Eric Holder, who will speak on Tuesday, April 5, other speakers will include Rev. Gregory J. Boyle, S.J., founder of Homeboy Industries, and Rev. Samuel "Billy" Kyles, a close aide to the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who will commemorate Dr. King on the 42nd anniversary of his assassination on April 4, 1968.

2011 Missing Children's Day Poster Contest Deadline Extended?The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention has extended the deadline to April 8 for submissions to the National Missing Children's Day poster contest. Fifth-grade students may submit a poster based on the theme, "Bring Our Missing Children Home." The contest raises awareness of the effort to bring missing children home safely while also highlighting the importance of proactive education programs. The winner will travel to Washington, D.C. to receive an award and participate in the Missing Children's Day Ceremony on May 25. More details are available at: www.ojjdp.gov/programs/postercontest
