This screen will allow an applicant to review a breakdown of an application with the number of vests added at the jurisdiction level as well as any law enforcement agencies. Below this section, you will find a short questionnaire to determine your satisfaction with the overall process. At the bottom of this form is "Certification". Here the applicant is typing their first and last name (or the Chief Executive's) to certify that all of the guidelines for the program and the use of any approved funds will be followed. Please note: There is a deadline date posted on the BVP home page. All applications must be submitted by this date to be considered for funding in the current year. Funding Limitations The program is designed to pay up to 50% of the cost of NIJ-approved vests contained in a jurisdiction's application. Given the projected number of ../overview/eligible jurisdictions and the limited funds available, the BVP may not have sufficient funds to provide 50% for all applications. It is strongly recommended that jurisdictions and law enforcement agencies not order vests contained in their application until it is approved by BJA, unless they have sufficient resources to cover initial costs and any potential shortfall which may result if less than 50% is provided.
