This newsletter reports on events, research, training, and programs related to the work of the National Gang Center, which conducts research on street gangs and serves as a clearinghouse for individuals and agencies that seek information, technical assistance, and training in the areas of gang prevention, intervention, suppression, and reentry.

"The Gang Member Migration Proposition-Part 2" examines reasons for gang members' mobility. A National Gang Center survey found that social reasons were often cited by law enforcement respondents and rated higher than all other factors that influenced gang member migration. "National Evaluation of G.R.E.A.T." In June 2012, a research evaluation team released a summary of preliminary findings on students four years after they had participated in G.R.E.A.T. "Gang Offending and Online Behavior" explores gang members' use of the Internet, particularly social media, to support their criminal and noncriminal activities. "Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs" describes resources and two forthcoming conferences about these highly structured organizations that use their clubs for criminal enterprises.
