Offers no-cost financial management training and technical assistance to OVC human trafficking and discretionary grantees.

The Office of Justice Programs (OJP) remains committed to offering no-cost financial management training and other technical assistance to all OJP award recipients, including the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) human trafficking and discretionary award recipients. Award recipients should contact OJP’s Office of the Chief Financial Officer Customer Service Center ([email protected] or 1-800-458-0786) for financial management questions and related assistance. Programmatic questions and other requests for technical assistance should be directed to the assigned grant manager.

About

The Office for Victims of Crime Financial Management Resource Center (OVC FMRC) provides support and resources to OVC human trafficking and discretionary grantees as they enhance their capacity to manage the financial aspects of their federal awards. Topics we help address include:

 Reviewing award conditions and budget clearances
 Preparing and submitting Grant Award Modifications (GAMs)
 Preparing for site visits and enhanced programmatic desk reviews (EPDRs)
 Re-allocating funds to meet project goals and pacing to project timeline
 Providing orientation to new grant administration personnel
 Supporting specific grantee needs including but not limited to development of policies and procedures, budgeting, bookkeeping, fraud prevention, reporting, monitoring, and records retention

Journey in Grants Financial Management Essentials is a complimentary training series designed to enhance the financial management skills of OVC grantees. 

Plain language, easy-to-follow resources organized by topic. Designed to assist grantees in developing and/or enhancing comprehensive financial policies and procedures.

OVC funds national-scope demonstration projects and training and technical assistance to enhance the expertise of victim service providers.
