These trainings are designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of grantees, ensuring they are well-equipped to manage their federal grants effectively. Certification Training
Tribes and Territories Grants Financial Management Training (TT-GFMT)
The Office of Justice Programs (OJP) Tribes and Territories Grants Financial Management Training (TT-GFMT) is framed around the grant life cycle from pre-award to closeout. TT-GFMT focuses on priority topics to help OJP tribal and territory grantees effectively manage their federal grant awards.
Completion of this training fulfills the certification required by a grant award.

Journey in Grants Financial Management Essentials is a complimentary training series designed to enhance the financial management skills of OJP grantees.
OJP Financial Management Virtual Seminar
The Financial Management Virtual Seminar (FMVS) provides essential financial and grants management training to assist grantees effectively manage their federal award. Framed around the life cycle of a grant (pre-award, post-award, and closeout) the series delivers five (5) live virtual sessions focused on priority topics on financial and grants management.
Learning Exchange Training Series
Our Learning Exchange Training Series (LETS) covers the essential components for managing your subawards, including implementing policies and procedures on subrecipient budgeting, spending and record retention. The series is designed for staff at OJP grantee organizations operating in America Samoa, Guam, the Northern Marian Islands, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

How to Prepare for Desk Reviews, Site Visits, and Monitoring Visits
This training session will define the purpose of financial monitoring reviews, provide an overview of the types of financial monitoring, including desk and on-site reviews, share elements of pre-site and on-site reviews, and identify the top ten monitoring findings.

2024 TVSSA Allowable and Unallowable Costs
In this training session, you will learn to locate allowable versus unallowable costs for each solicitation, determine if a cost is allowable or unallowable per cost category, assess whether a cost is reasonable, allocable, and necessary, and apply policies and procedures to ensure costs are consistently treated.

Federal Financial Report (FFR)
OVC tribal grantees are invited to learn how to submit and edit the quarterly Federal Financial Report (FFR). This webinar recording will: explain the purpose of the FFR form, share why accurate and
timely filing of FFRs is critical, review the filing deadlines for FFRs, demonstrate the steps for FFR submission, and describe the actions taken during closeout.

Supplanting and Duplicative Costs
OVC tribal grantees and those seeking OVC grant funding are invited to learn the difference between supplanting, supplementing and duplicative costs. This webinar recording covers: differences between supplementing and supplanting in a program/project budget, definition of duplicative costs, budgeting examples of supplementing, supplanting, and duplicative costs, and strategies to avoid supplanting and duplicative costs.
