This event is held to honor and remember victims of crime and recognize those agencies and individuals who assist them in their journey.

The Governor's Office, Attorney General Mark Brnovich and Maricopa County Attorney Allister Adel will be presenting awards to honorees that have made a difference in the community through their extraordinary service to crime victims.

Carol Daly, former Undersheriff for Sacramento County Sheriff's Department, will be the keynote speaker for the event. Undersheriff Daly was one of the lead investigators on the Golden State Killer cases in the late 1970's encompassing 194 burglaries, 50 sexual assaults, and 13 homicides spanning eleven counties. Daly is a nationally recognized law enforcement professional with over 33 years' experience. In retirement she still provides ongoing support to victims of past crimes and currently maintains contact with many victims of the East Area Rapist/Golden State Killer cases.
