Challenges in Firearms and Shooting Cases: Prosecuting Cases Involving Ghost Guns

This webinar, hosted by the National District Attorney's Association, is designed to inform state and local prosecutors in states that criminalize the possession or sale of ghost guns (or parts and kits) and states whose legislatures are considering such laws. The webinar will cover how to recognize ghost gun evidence in a police report or evidence sheet, assess a case for charging, and present gun evidence in court. Attendees will learn specific strategies for evaluating cases, educating jurors about firearms, and presenting firearm evidence safely in court. This webinar will also provide an update on federal court decisions considering the constitutionality of ghost gun legislation and the status of these cases in the appeals process.
