This webinar is part of the Confinement Facilities Peer Groups series of events. These events offer opportunities to discuss the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) training and technical assistance to Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity for Prevention and Control of Emerging Infectious Diseases recipients and corrections authorities for detecting and mitigating COVID-19 in confinement facilities within their jurisdictions.

The Confinement Facilities Peer Groups will cover relevant topics, such as the end to the Public Health Emergency, promote the sharing of promising practices and lessons learned, identify issues or challenges with program execution and mitigation strategies, and facilitate networking opportunities.

During this webinar, the Missouri Department of Corrections and Recidiviz will share data-driven approaches to population reduction as a COVID-19 mitigation strategy. The presenters will also discuss tools and tips on intake, sentencing, restrictive housing, and more.

This event is being hosted by BJA’s COVID-19 Detection and Mitigation in Confinement Facilities Training and Technical Assistance Center.
