This discussion will include a brief overview of the Portland Train Attack case, presented by moderator Jeff Howes, First Assistant of the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office. A group discussion about hate crimes and high profile cases will follow. Participants are encouraged to bring their own issues, cases, and questions to the discussion.

The goal of the Capital Case Litigation Initiative Brown Bag sessions is to bring together capital case and complex homicide prosecutors to discuss a variety of emerging issues and topics; to workshop ideas together and arrive at solutions; and to connect individuals to resources and a larger network of prosecutors.

This session is open only to capital case and complex homicide prosecutors.
