This webinar will summarize progress in administering the National Census of Victim Service Providers and the National Survey of Victim Service Providers.

The Bureau of Justice Statistics, with funding from the Office for Victims of Crime, launched a two-phased effort to collect national data on the victim services field. This webinar will summarize progress in administering the National Census of Victim Service Providers and the National Survey of Victim Service Providers. The National Census of Victim Service Providers helped build a national roster of all active victim service providers and provided baseline knowledge about characteristics of the field. The National Survey of Victim Service Providers is in the field now and collects more detailed information on topics such as services provided to crime victims, staffing, and organizational constraints to providing services.

The data will be used to better understand the type and scope of victim services nationwide and identify the resource needs of victim service providers.
