This webinar will provide an overview of the NYS Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence Fatality Review Initiative.
It will present the goals and objectives of the board as well as research to support the need to learn from the death and near-death cases resulting from domestic violence in our communities.
This will then lead to an exploration of the implications for probation departments that supervise the victims and offenders in these cases and provide suggestions and guidelines on how to best report and supervise to enhance public safety, particularly for that of the victim.
