The VALOR Program, in collaboration with the State and Local Anti-Terrorism Training (SLATT) Program, offers this officer safety training taught by seasoned subject experts.
Participants will hear from law enforcement experts on:
- Suspicious activities
- Indicators of violent extremists
- Safety strategies when observing suspicious activities and indicators
- Reporting to appropriate organizations
- Safety strategies and critical-thinking skills during an incident
- Coping with the challenges that occur after an incident
This workshop provides officers with strategies that focus on personal safety as well as the safety of fellow officers and the community.
