The first phase of this 2-phase study on criminal careers and crime control was designed to code, recode, computerize and reanalyze raw data from a 3-wave, matched sample on prospective study of juvenile and adult criminal behavior.
Abstract

The analysis of data from the detailed criminal histories of the original 500 delinquents in the 1950 study upon which this project is based will lead, in the second phase, to the examination of 4 fundamental parameters of the criminal career: participation; frequency; seriousness; and career length. This final report will focus on the coding and validation procedures, the data set created, and the resulting publications and presentations. 5 appendixes
