This Bureau of Justice Assistance solicitation overview summarizes information about the FY 2024 Rural and Small Department Violent Crime Reduction Program. Eligible applicants include cities or townships, counties, or federally recognized Native American tribal governments. Successful applicants receive funding to support small and rural agencies, including prosecutors’ offices, in their efforts to combat violent crime through the implementation of a comprehensive violent crime reduction strategy. BJA encourages applications from entities that have not previously received BJA funding.
