This updated report presents estimates of criminal justice expenditures and employment (JEE) data for 2012 at the national, federal, state, and local levels.
Presents estimates of government expenditures and employment at the national, federal, state, and local levels for the following justice categories: police protection, all judicial and legal functions (including prosecution, courts, and public defense), and corrections. Data are from the Census Bureau's Annual Survey of State and Local Government Finances and Annual Survey of Public Employment and Payroll.
