This brief reports data from 34 grantees funded under the U.S. Justice Department's Office of Victim Service's (OVC's) Comprehensive Services for Victims of All Forms of Human Trafficking Program, as contained in the Trafficking Information Management System (TIMS) for the period July 2015 through June 2016.
Abstract
The goal of the Comprehensive Services for Victims of All Forms of Human Trafficking Program is to improve the quality and quantity of services available to assist all victims of human trafficking. Program grants support the delivery of high-quality, comprehensive services that address the individualized needs of trafficking victims. The program allows grantees flexibility in helping trafficking victims receive the individualized services they need. Services provided by the 34 grantees include housing assistance, ongoing case management, personal items, and emotional and moral support. During the period July 2015 through June 2016, the 34 grantees served 2,441 clients, with 1,328 being new clients. The two largest victim groups were involved in sex trafficking (59 percent), and labor trafficking of foreign nationals (28 percent). Percentages of victims served are also reported by gender and transgender.
