Abstract
The briefly profiled tools, publications, and resources have been developed with funding from the U.S. Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) and other leading organizations in behavioral health and criminal justice. They are intended to provide information that will assist in improving the efforts of state and local systems to reduce recidivism among people with behavioral health needs, as well as reduce the number of such people in correctional facilities. The resources described are categorized as interactive online tools, publications, and data collection resources. Interactive online tools include a collaborative comprehensive case plan tool and a mental health court curriculum (2013). The publications include a shared framework for reducing recidivism and promoting recovery by meeting offenders' behavioral health needs along with other criminogenic needs, as well as what policymakers should know about health care coverage for people with mental health needs. Data collection resources pertain to measurement of the delivery of services and evaluation of their effectiveness in achieving objectives.
