SANE Program Development and Operation Guide: Patient-Centered Care

This video depicts the essential elements of patient-centered care, one of the five key principles of Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) care that should be considered when developing a SANE program. The five key principles are patient-centered care, trauma-informed care, evidence-based practice, recognition of community uniqueness, and a multidisciplinary approach. These key principles should guide the development and operation of SANE programs to ensure the provision of comprehensive care to sexual assault patients.
