This 2019 OJP (Office of Justice Programs) Grant Application Resource Guide ("Guide") assists OJP grant applicants in preparing and submitting applications for OJP funding and information that may assist potential applicants in making the decision about whether to apply for funding.
Abstract
The guide reviews a variety of policies, statutes, and regulations that apply to many (in some cases all) OJP program applicants, as well as to grants and cooperative agreements awarded in fiscal year (FY) 2019. Some OJP programs may have program solicitations that modify a provision of this Guide; in such cases, the applicant should follow the guidelines in the solicitation regarding a modified provision. The provisions of this 2019 Guide apply only to those OJP applications submitted in response to OJP solicitations that expressly incorporate this Guide as reference. The Guide is divided into nine sections. The first section provides programmatic information regarding evidence-based programs or practices and information on potential evaluation of programs and activities. The second section reviews financial information, which pertains to financial management, cost-sharing or matching requirements, and other grant-related financial policies. The third section addresses application elements and formatting instructions. Other major sections address registration and submission steps, application review information, and federal award administration. A section entitled "Other Information" pertains to the Freedom of Information and Privacy Act, feedback to OJP, and how to become an OJP peer reviewer.
