Abstract
CRIMINAL JUSTICE MANPOWER IN ALABAMA IN THE AREAS OF LAW ENFORCEMENT, CORRECTIONS, PARDONS, PAROLES, AND COURTS ARE INVENTORIED, AS ARE EXISTING CRIMINAL JUSTICE ORIENTED TRAINING AND EDUCATION PROGRAMS. IN ADDITION, TRAINING AND EDUCATION EXPERIENCES IN OTHER JURISDICTIONS ARE REVIEWED TO PROVIDE COMPARATIVE DATA. STANDARDS FOR TRAINING AND EDUCATION FOR CRIMINAL JUSTICE PERSONNEL ARE IDENTIFIED. FINALLY, THE STUDY DEVELOPS ESTIMATES OF TRAINING AND EDUCATIONAL NEEDS AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR MEETING THEM.
