Activities are also reported for the 2018 National Missing Children's Day on May 23, which was first proclaimed by President Ronald Reagan in 1985 to honor the memories of children still missing. AMBER Alert activities reported for Indian Country include the display on National Missing Children's Day of a work of art depicting a sorrowful Native American girl holding a single eagle feather. The painting by New Mexico artist Kathleen Piccione is titled "Never Forgotten." Also reported is President Trump's signing of a bill to improve AMBER Alert on Tribal lands.
