          Abstract
Males represented 58 percent of the victims and females 42 percent. Between 1980-81, the percentage of total female victimization remained constant, but an increase was noticed in robbery and auto theft. Whites were the victims of Part I crimes in 73 percent of the cases and blacks in 27 percent. An increase of black victimization by 2 percent was noted during the year. The age group 25-34 years continued to be victimized more (29 percent) than any other age group for all Part I crimes. Tables, graphs, and charts are supplied.
