The first section provides step-by-step procedural guidelines for 23 types of calls for service. These include accident investigations, fires, bomb threats, child abuse and neglect, deaths, domestic violence, vandalism, missing persons, sexual offenses, nursing-home resident abuse, theft, and recovery of stolen vehicles. Guidelines for patrol and investigative procedures address various types of arrests, suspect identification, news releases, pawn shop procedures, polygraph procedures, various traffic violations, and vehicle stops. Juvenile arrests and procedures encompass the juvenile habitual offender's program, unattended children, missing children, juvenile detention and shelter care, and curfew enforcement. The manual's final section provides reporting guidelines for a variety of call types and situations.
