This article discusses the strategy of building loyalty among new employees to enhance career professionals.
Abstract
Highly motivated and dedicated applicants are attracted to and loyal to agencies with excellent reputations; loyalty is seen as a durable bond between an employee and an agency. Smart managers know that building and sustaining loyalty is a deliberate and strategic process. Building loyalty is accomplished by design, and once rooted, will grow by the actions of consistent leadership. This strategy begins between the applicant and the agency. The first contact an applicant has with an employee can create a powerful first impression. Smart managers will also have the best representatives of the agency at most phases of the testing process to showcase the department. Field training officers (FTOs) are department representatives that play a crucial role in building loyalty. A critical part of maintaining loyalty is the transaction between the employee and the leadership team, with constant communication the key to strengthening loyalty.
