This 1992 statistical profile of California criminal justice presents statistics for each county and the State.
Abstract
There is a separate criminal justice profile for each county and the State as a whole. Most of the data presented were reported to the Law Enforcement Information Center by State and local agencies. Each county and State profile has three sections: Criminal Justice Trend Data, Current Year Data, and the Appendix. Criminal justice trend data are presented for crimes, arrests, arrest dispositions, corrections populations, criminal justice personnel, and expenditures for the most recent 10 years (1983-92). Current year data focus on the most recent data year. In the statewide profile, the current data for each county are provided. In each county profile, the data are shown for each contributing jurisdiction. The appendix contains known data limitations and characteristics, a glossary of criminal justice terms used in the publication, and lists of the penal and other statutory codes that are included in each of the felony and misdemeanor arrest offense categories. 33 tables
