Abstract
THE OPERATION OF GIVING SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS ON ALL IMPORTANT FACETS OF A DISASTER REALITY. THE ASSUMPTION IS MADE THAT LAW ENFORCEMENT FUNCTIONS UNDER DISASTER CONDITIONS ARE THE SAME, BUT EACH INHERENT OPERATIONAL PROBLEM IS MAGNIFIED. ORGANIZATION AND COMMUNICATIONS CHARTS ARE INCLUDED AS ARE THE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES OF A POLICE CHIEF OR SHERIFF AND REGIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT COORDINATOR AT A TIME OF EMERGENCY.
