Abstract

In this document, the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) presents its assessment of activities for the years 2021 and 2022, and provides data on several Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Use Program (COSSUP) priority areas. The COSSUP funding highlights section summarizes performance data reported by grantees or subgrantees who were active in calendar year (CY) 2021 and 2022. The document provides breakdowns of Naloxone training categories for 2021 and 2022; law enforcement (LE)-led programs; and key COSSUP activities, including diversion and deflection, treatment courts and community supervision, and jail and reentry-based programming. The document also informs of COSSUP’s substance use treatment services, including inpatient, outpatient, partial hospitalization programs 9PHP, mental health treatment, family therapy, and more.
